Understand Your Blackjack Switch and Spanish 21 Strategies
April 2nd, 2012 by OBO-admin
Although Spanish 21 and Blackjack Switch are based on the same rules of standard blackjack, the removal of the ten cards in Spanish 21 and the introduction of the rule that the dealer goes bust at 22 in Blackjack Switch alter the strategies players must employ while playing these variants if they want to bend the blackjack odds in their favor.
The payout structure, in case of both these variants, is more or less the same. If players win, they will get even money. If they are playing Spanish 21, they stand the chance of grabbing some bonus prizes, which includes a payout for the Charlie hand.
The simplest strategy is to learn the rules of the game before trying to play it. A number of blackjack players make the mistake of playing special blackjack variants such as Blackjack Switch and Spanish 21 without realizing that these are not standard games of blackjack. Since the rules of these variants are slightly different from regular blackjack, the strategies employed should also be different.
Experts also advise players not to play too many variants at a time. They should take these variants one at a time, understand the rules, master the strategies, play for fun, and then wager real money.

How Don Johnson Won Millions without Counting Cards At Blackjack
March 30th, 2012 by OBO-admin
Blackjack master Don Johnson has won over 15 million dollars from Atlantic City casinos while playing a few blackjack games at their tables. And how did he do it? Well, not by counting cards it turns out.
While many in the blackjack industry deem card counting to be a necessary strategy if you want to win at the game, Don Johnson the man who almost cleaned out two of Atlantic City’s top casinos from the blackjack tables uses another strategy.
Johnson claims that he played blackjack fair and square and did not count cards; and while some may tend to disbelieve Johnson, the fact that the casinos themselves have checked video footage and found that he was not cheating may lend some credence to his statement.
So how does one win at blackjack using Johnson style? Firstly, you have to have experience at blackjack and posses a few years worth of gambling under your belt. You also have to know the math, and this is not card counting. Secondly, you have to get as much concessions as you can out of the casino – which is only possible if you are a high roller.
The next trick of Johnson’s is to split your Aces and 8’s and wait for the dealer to go bust.

The blackjack casinos in Malaysia may soon have to face power problems as authorities in the country are gearing up to take action against them.
The illegal casinos currently operating in Malaysia seem to be a big problem to authorities, who are eager to shut them down. However, the power supply company has not yet complied with this request, and it is believed that discussions are currently underway as to how to tackle the problem.
The main problem area is Kluang, a province in the region of Johor in Malaysia. Live Dealer Blackjack Gets More Popular, Says Bet365
March 15th, 2012 by OBO-admin
Bet365 has made an interesting prediction that more and more casino players will use live dealer casinos in 2012, owing to which the online gambling industry will profit a lot. The online gambling company says that, ever since the introduction of its live dealer casino four years back, it is now getting more popular than ever. Players prefer playing live dealer blackjack and live dealer Texas Hold’em because it makes them feel as if they are really at a land casino.
Live dealer casinos give players the opportunity to participate in a game of blackjack played in a land casino from the comforts of home by simply turning on the video streaming facility. They can then view real croupiers in action and even interact with them. This feature has greatly added to the popularity of live dealer blackjack.
Bet365 has warned players about playing at live dealer casinos at certain websites because unscrupulous rogue companies will take advantage of this popularity of live dealer gaming by launching dummy live dealers. Every innovation has led to the mushrooming of rogue gaming sites across the Internet, owing to which Bet365 urges players to do their homework before signing up for live dealer blackjack services.

Maine Approves First Blackjack Casino License
March 13th, 2012 by OBO-admin
Maine is the latest US state to approve a blackjack casino license. Earlier this week, the Maine Gambling Control Board voted unanimously to allow Hollywood Slots to operate a casino. The company which currently operates the Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway will add 14 gaming tables and change its name to Hollywood Casino Bangor.
The Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway, which has been in operation since 2005, currently offers slots and off-track betting on harness racing simulcasts. From March 16, in its new avatar, it will offer Las Vegas style blackjack and poker.
In anticipation of the increase in customers the casino has hired dealers, pit bosses and shift managers. With the catering and other support staff the total number of new jobs created would be 60. The casino also plans to extend the opening hours to accommodate the spike in traffic.
In a related move, the Maine Gambling Control Board also awarded a license to Gaming Products International to distribute table games in the state. Till now no one had ever had the license to distribute table game related equipment like playing cards or poker chips in the state of Maine.
A charity event will be held in early March to launch a soft opening of the casino.
