Twin River Casino to Hold Charity Blackjack Tournament
Twin River Casino will be holding a charity blackjack event, in which a number of charities will benefit.
Senator David Bates will take part in the Holiday Blackjack Tournament at Twin River Casino for charity. The senator, who represents Riverside, Bristol, and Barrington, is among the six senators and eight representatives who are taking part in the Holiday Blackjack Tournament, the first of its kind at Twin River Casino. Each of them is playing for the benefit of their favorite charity. Bates will be donating his winnings to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Rhode Island.
According to Twin River Casino Chairman John F. Taylor, the tournament will be held in the holiday season “as a meaningful way to continue our philanthropic outreach.” He also said that the casino will be holding this event every year.
The Holiday Blackjack Tournament will comprise an opening round with six blackjack tables. The participants will play blackjack at these tables and the winner of each table will be given the opportunity to play the game at the final championship table.
Twin River Casino will donate as much as $60,000 to the charities, which means that each organization will get a minimum of $1000.
