Online Casino Gambling Now Legal In Delware
Online Casino gambling is now legal in the state of Delware, as the governor approved the legislation on the 28th of June that will now allow online betting websites to offer full services such as Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and Craps.
On Thursday, Jack Markell the Democratic Gov signed the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act of 2012 into law and it will make online casino gambling legal in the state of Delware. Now, casino games like blackjack, craps and poker along with online slot machine play will be made available through a number of Delaware casino websites and will be managed centrally by the state Lottery Office. Delaware lottery tickets will be made available for sale via a state-run website.
The Department of Finance expects these new gambling offerings to bring in more than $7.75 million in revenues for Delware during the fiscal 2013. Based on reports, Delware Casinos are responsible for creating nearly 2,500 jobs and legalized gambling brings in over $250 million annually in state tax dollars.
Senate President Pro Tem Anthony DeLuca, the lead Senate sponsor of the bill said “We can help protect the jobs and this revenue source for our state. We can keep Delaware at the forefront of developing new and better gambling options.”
