Mysterious Blackjack Player Cleans Out Tropicana Casino for $5.8 Million
Atlantic City, the second largest gambling market in the United States saw a fall in its April revenues for casino gaming. The numbers are disheartening on the whole, but the worst hit was the Tropicana Casino and Resort. Surprisingly, the revenue at the Tropicana Casino did not fall because of fluctuating market prices but because of a single blackjack player who took in $5.8 million within the month of April alone.
The Tropicana Casino was apparently hit by a mysterious blackjack player who cleaned out the casino and caused a fall in the casino’s April revenue by 54% on table games and an overall fall of 20%. There is no information available on the mysterious player who won a record of $5.8 million in the month of April. Whether this amount was collected over a weekend or whether it was won over several weeks is not known.
The then chief executive officer of the casino Mark Giannantonio said that it was bad luck and confirmed these reports. Mark Giannantonio has now been fired but negates the fact that losing his job was related to the fall in the casino’s revenues last month.
Everyone would like to believe the same, and it would definitely be nice to know about this mysterious blackjack player who caused this fall.
