Microgaming to Leave US Market
Microgaming, the online casino software that powers hundreds of online casinos will no longer accept new players from US. After 2006, Microgaming blocked 13 states but still allowed online casinos to accept real money wagers from 37 states. Their stance has now changed and they have decided to pull out of the US market and focus on Europe and other emerging markets. This wasn’t surprising because many of the microgaming online casinos didn’t put much effort into the US market because of the blocked states and knowing microgaming could easily block the rest.
None of the US online blackjack casinos listed on online blackjack odds will be effected because we have never listed any of the microgaming casinos. We felt it was too confusing with offering some players real money action while not allowing others. Casinos that are listed on our site are powered by RTG including Rushmore Casino and Club USA Casino. We also feature casinos that are powered by Vegas Technology with one of the oldest and most well respected casinos: English Harbour Casino. Both casino software providers allow players from all 50 states and have excellent track records with players from the United States.
