Feds Approve Seminole’s Latest Agreement for Blackjack in Florida
The federal government recently approved the Seminole’s tribe agreement to host Blackjack games in Florida. The tribes had been contesting to have table games like blackjack allowed in Florida casinos for a long time now and this decision has been greeted with great enthusiasm from the blackjack community in Florida.
This agreement puts an end to all legal conjecture of having blackjack games in Seminole Casinos created by the earlier rejection of the contract that the tribes signed with Governor Crist in 2008.
After the contract was rejected, the tribes had continued to run these blackjack games in a few select casinos while attempting to get the government to give them permission to host blackjack in Florida’s casinos. And, although the tribe had an internal sign off for permission they had to face some problems from lawmakers. The blackjack games hosted by casinos run by the Seminole tribes were supported by the United States Department of Interior Affairs and were hence allowed to continue without interruption despite opposition from some radical state officials.
The current agreement will allow the casinos to host blackjack games and earn the state $1 billion dollars. Want to play online blackjack? Check out the top USA Blackjack Casino Sites.
