The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino boasts 4,049 suites along with a massive 120,000 square foot casino. The property on which the Venetian resides was the former home of The Sands Hotel. That property was imploded in 1996 to make for the new Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Ground was broken in 1997 and The Venetian officially opened in May of 1999.

As a Venetian themed resort, the hotel offers motorized gondolas which glide around the indoor canal. Guests can shot in the extensive retail mall, the Grand Canal Shoppes, which is spread across 500,000 square feet of space.

The Venetian is also home to Madam Tussauds las Vegas wax museum as well as other amenities and attractions including numerous gourmet restaurants.

The lobby of the Venetian is designed to act as a re-creation of the famed Sistine Chapel. Guests can pamper themselves at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the largest spa in Las Vegas, boasting 62 treatment rooms.

The Venetian is home to 4,027 total rooms, 3,014 of which are suites located in the main tower alone.

Inside the casino guests can enjoy numerous table games, 2,500 slot machines, an 80 seat race and sports book.
