Casino Players Get Caught Bribing Dealers in Blackjack
Nineteen people were charged with cheating at 18 casinos in California, Washington and Indiana. It was a gambling ring of players who cheated while playing blackjack and baccarat. It has been estimated that they took millions of dollars since the gambling scheme started in 2002. The players bribed dealers to not shuffle decks and also used hidden transmitters and software to predict outcomes. Nine dealers have been fired and two dealers where fired 2 years ago which prompted the investigation and later uncovered the gambling ring. The players that were charged now face up to 20 years in prison.
