Renovated Blackpool Club Casino Offers Blackjack Games

Players can now play blackjack at the newly renovated Blackpool Club Casino. Now that around half a million pounds have been spent on the casino’s renovation, as many as 384 players can play table games such as blackjack, American Roulette, and poker.

The casino, which was once known as Castle Casino, was acquired by Genting eight years back. It remains open from noon to 6:00 a.m. and has around 72 employees. The casino now has a new reception area, a totally new look, and an utterly transformed restaurant. Marketing Manager Robin Sherwood says that the casino is now more of a club and people can just visit for drinks and meals without feeling obligated to play the games.

Speaking about the games, Sherwood said that the casino offers free Mahjong to please its Chinese customers. Regarding the popularity of poker games at the casino, he said that as many as 111 players played for a pot of £2,000 on Wednesday night.

The casino trains its own croupiers. Sherwood said that the casino’s croupier course lasts for around six weeks. Susan Taylor, who has worked at the casino for 18 years, said croupiers need to be “people persons” with the ability to do many things simultaneously.
