New Documentary Features Christian Ministers As Blackjack High Rollers
A new documentary titled “Holy Rollers: The True Story of Card Counting Christians” already stands a great chance to win the top prize in its category at the Seattle International Film Festival 2001. The documentary features the story of one of the best funded card counting teams playing blackjack wherein all the members are Christian ministers.
It was screened at the 2011 Seattle International Film Festival this week and deserves to win according to some blackjack players. It follows the group for around five years and it was seen that the Churchteam as they called themselves consisted of pastors and Christian church leaders from Seattle, Washington.
The team uses similar strategies that were seen in the movie 21, and hence they wear disguises and pretend not to know each other while playing the game.
As the story goes, the Churchteam are good at the game and make a lot of money, although the money was being sent back to the church. Later a non-Christian joins the team and things start going wrong. Later, the team gets caught, and is banned from all the casinos in the pacific North West area. Eventually, they decide to do something in order to change their luck.
Holy Rollers will increase the fame of blackjack if nothing else and is hence appreciated by most Blackjack players and websites.
