Planet Hollywood
History of the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas
Planet Hollywood offers a true classic Las Vegas casino along with the site where Elvis and Priscilla were married. At the time of the world famous wedding, the casino was known as the Aladdin. The property where the hotel resides was originally opened as the Tally-Ho in 1963 and later renamed the King’s Crown in 1964. After it was denied a gaming license it became the Aladdin in 1966. The following year Elvis and Priscilla were married in the hotel.
Today Planet Hollywood boasts more than 12,000 square feet of lobby and 100,000 square feet of casino. The casino boasts 2,800 slot machines and nearly 90 table games. The casino is known for its multi-floor design which also features a sports book and poker room. Taking center stage is the Heart Bar, a circular area that serves as a hot spot for guests to hang out.
Guests can enjoy a wide variety of dining options including an extensive menu at Planet Dailies and the Spice Market Buffet. The Miracle Mile Shops boasts more than 140 stores as well as a dozen different restaurants.
Today, Planet Hollywood offers 2,600 well appointed guest rooms and was completely renovated and reopened in April of 2007.
Planet Hollywood Blackjack
Planet Hollywood would not give me the information about their blackjack tables. They do have the “Pleasure Pit” where they have a minimum of $20 dollar blackjack with hot women dealing at the tables.
